Friday morning, the Shop Tart turned on her sweet little laptop, sat down with a cup of tea and prepared to compose a long and gushing post about the joys of Ed Robinson’s pick-up and delivery service. It is reducing the amount of fighting in her marriage by 28.2% and she promises a long and gushing post soon, but it isn’t going to happen today. When she sat down on Friday and opened up her blog, a mean message appeared, explaining that her website had been taken over by pirates. Or really smart college kids or something like that. The problem was resolved over the weekend and everything is just fine now, but it was scary. She missed her blog very much and promises not to take it for granted.

By Sunday morning, she needed to do something to get her mind off of her little drama. Brunch seemed like an excellent solution, with the New York Times and without children of course. A sitter was secured, The State and InStyle added to the New York Times stack and away they went. She took Mr. Shop Tart, of course. How else was she to carry all that paper? They went across the bridge and away from it all to Cafe Strudel, the perfect place for a long, lazy brunch with papers galore.

Cafe Strudel

Had she gone to college here, the Shop Tart would have eaten at Cafe Strudel every weekend. In addition to funky, mismatched furniture and plenty of reading room, they also offer oodles of brunch specialties guaranteed to cure that hangover you may be rocking. The Shop Tart hopes you stopped at three drinks and drank plenty of water in between. She also knows that occasionally, despite your best intentions, you ignore this rule. She’ll spare you the lecture about your health and how even one night of binge drinking can hurt you, because she knows you are suffering enough. She also knows you were responsible enough not to drive. No, you won’t have to listen to all that. She’ll be gracious and tell you how to kick that headache and mild queasiness - with plenty of hydration and fat.

Mr. Shop Tart, her driver the night before, ordered a very reasonable bagel with cream cheese and lox, with a side of fruit. He also had coffee. The Shop Tart doesn’t know where Strudel scores the bagels, but they are delicious. She thinks they’re multi-grain and knows they’re toasted to perfection, with just the right amount of lovely chewiness inside.

Cafe Strudel.

His fruit bowl was lovely, too. He was particularly excited about the mango, maybe a little too excited for the Shop Tart’s somber mood.

Cafe Strudel.

His coffee was nice and rich. No wonder, because Cafe Strudel brews Cashua Coffee, roasted right here in South Carolina*. Mr. Shop Tart made himself right at home, refilling at leisure from the cafe’s self-serve coffee bar. The self-serve coffee bar is a brilliant innovation, because you never have to wait or risk having an over-enthusiastic waiter ruin your coffee-sugar-cream ratio. And what about the times when you want just a splash to warm up your existing cup? No need to interrupt your conversation to explain. Hooray!

Cafe Strudel.

The Shop Tart ordered a breakfast quesadilla. In a vaguely sarcastic salute to Mr. Shop Tart’s healthy ways, she ordered it with egg-white only. Wisely, she ordered water, knowing that coffee would only dehydrate her more. Not that she was dehydrated. But she was. That’s what vodka will do, kids. The breakfast quesadilla, along with copious amounts of hot sauce, was divine. Heaven. Exactly what the doctor ordered. The water was also excellent.

Cafe Strudel.

She did not order Hangover Hash-browns, Cafe Strudel’s most famous cure. She had had just one too many the night before, not three, and she is old enough to have to watch her figure. Besides, there’s something embarrassing about ordering Hangover Hash-browns with egg-white only. She overheard the young, strapping college student at the next table order them and asked if he minded a little food paparazzi. He agreed and here you are. Frankly - and she thinks many will agree - there is no finer brunch dish in the state of South Carolina, possibly the world. You think it might be enough for two people, but it isn’t, because you’ll eat it all. Enjoy!

Cafe Strudel.

If you are still hungry after your perfect brunch, Cafe Strudel has a case of divine desserts.

Cafe Strudel.

Seating options abound in the busy cafe. Sit outside in the front, if you like to watch people come and go. There’s a lovely patio out back. There are tables upstairs and down. The cafe is housed in an old building with lots of rooms; each room only has a few tables. You may even be able to find a quiet corner. Maybe. There are also a few seats at the bar, where the owners can usually be found. They’re good company, so don’t be shy.

Cafe Strudel.

Cafe Strudel is the ultimate brunch destination. They have a full menu of breakfast favorites, made in their own special way. They serve all those fancy coffee drinks you love, along with a great cup of regular joe for the purist. Hot tea? Check. They have more than thirty options. Although Cafe Strudel is technically in West Columbia, they’re close enough to downtown, just down State Street from Terra, a short drive over Columbia’s prettiest bridge. Perhaps you would like to go next weekend. Perhaps you would like to take the Shop Tart. She’ll bring the papers and magazines.

Happy Shopping and don’t forget to tell them you read it on the Shop Tart!

P.S. Cafe Strudel also offers a brilliant lunch during the week, worthy of its own post. Thursday through Saturday, they are open at night, until 11 pm. The kitchen closes thirty minutes before the cafe. They often have live music on the patio in the evening. Date night! And they have wireless internet. Awesome.

P.P.S. IMPORTANT SALE: The Shop Tart wanted to tell you all about this on Friday, but she had that pirate problem. Never fear, it’s not too late. Don’t miss this once-a-year HUGE clearance sale at the Casual Living warehouse (6006 Two Notch Road). They dig deep in the warehouse and pull out all kinds of things, mark them so low you’ll check the price tag twice - seriously, people actually fight over the deals. They will also be running a clearance sale at the Forest Drive store. Today is the last day. Go, go, go!

* The Shop Tart has added them to the South Carolina Designer page. Sure they don’t make pretty clothes or bags or beauty products, but they are right here in South Carolina and provide gloriously fresh-roasted coffee. Mwah!

Yesterday afternoon, the Shop Tart had a committee meeting for the March of Dimes Signature Chef Auction. She loves a late afternoon meeting, the perfect excuse for an early evening dinner out. The meeting was held at 300 Senate, where she enjoyed a cool glass of white wine, a side of fruit and a healthy dollop of their delicious sweet onion dip. Meetings are fun! Plans for the auction are coming along and the Shop Tart is getting really excited. Nine restaurants have been confirmed and more are in the works. The auction items look amazing and she hopes you will all attend the black-tie event, which will be held on a Sunday night. Aren’t you excited to have an excuse to get all dressy on a Sunday? Hooray!

After the meeting, she met Mr. Shop Tart and her brother- and sister-in-law at Granville’s, located on Devine Street in the building that housed Tiffany’s Bakery. She enjoyed her recent lunch there immensely and was looking forward to dinner. Granville’s is officially her new favorite neighborhood place - close enough to leave the car and jog back in the morning and in possession of a good enough wine list to make the jog worth it. They started with salads. She and her brother-in-law had the roasted vegetable salad. The eggplant was sliced so thin it melted in her mouth. The salad wasn’t over-dressed, which means they must have a French person lurking in the kitchen. In the Shop Tart’s experience, the French are born knowing exactly how much dressing to put on a salad - very little. This enormous salad was only $5.

Granville's.

Mr. Shop Tart had the lima bean salad, which had been highly recommended by a Shop Tart reader (Thank you, Kathryn!) Also perfectly dressed, this salad was delicious. Mr. Shop Tart’s shirt is from one of Granger Owings’ huge tent sales and is one of his wife’s favorites.

Granville's.

Her sister-in-law had the watermelon salad, also delicious and filled with other good things.

Granville's.

After drinking just one beer, Mr. Shop Tart felt like harassing his little brother and wrote on the paper table cover. Yes, he left out the second “i” in “idiot.” Some inside joke from their childhood that never fails to make him laugh.

Granville's.

For dinner, both couples shared the special - sturgeon with roasted vegetables. The Shop Tart had never had sturgeon before and it’s a new favorite for its tenderness and rich taste. With the large salads, half of the entree was enough to satisfy. The fish was $15, the highest priced item on the menu. Cool, huh?

Granville's.

There are about fifty sides to choose from - maybe slightly less, but there were a lot of options - and Mr. Shop Tart chose cucumber and tomato salad. The vegetables were lightly dressed in a sweet, mild vinaigrette.

Granville's.

Just before the entree arrived, owner Trae Wilson passed by the table and said hello. Mr. Shop Tart engaged him in a lengthy discussion about Barbie Dream Wine (a.k.a. dry rosé) and fish. As a result, Trae opened a bottle of sancerre rosé, newly arrived that day. Ding dang, that was some good wine. The Shop Tart took a rare break from mocking her husband for drinking girl wine and had a glass.

Granville's.

The pink wine made Mr. Shop Tart even more immature and he added a codicil to his previous insult. Half-French guys are so silly.

Granville's.

The prices at Granville’s are refreshingly low. The food is simple, well-portioned - hey, if you’re walking home, you don’t want to carry a to-go box, right? - and delicious. Although there are plenty of reasonably priced wines on the menu, you might decide to drink a little bit fancier since you aren’t spending as much on food. Just saying. The Shop Tart tab was low enough that they felt compelled to order dessert. There was a blueberry muffin filled with goat cheese mousse that sounded divine, as well as a lemon cheesecake. There was one other dessert the Shop Tart can’t remember and a fourth, which they ordered - the chocolate espresso pot de crème. So good, especially when she used the cookies for dipping into the three-layer pudding.

Granville's.

Great food, great wine and love that Granville’s has indoor, outdoor and bar seating. So…if you drove by Granville’s early this morning and saw a black SUV parked in the front, you now know what the Shop Tart drives. Mille mercis to Mr. Shop Tart for getting up this morning and jogging to go get it.

Happy Shopping and don’t forget to tell them you read it on the Shop Tart!

P.S. Tonight is babysitter night at Solstice. No, that does not mean you take the babysitter out to dinner, you dirty old man. You take your children and they enjoy a meal in a separate room with babysitters while you eat all civilized like the grown-up that you are. Check the Shop Tart calendar for details and call the restaurant (803-788-6966) for reservations. Enjoy!

The Shop Tart occasionally has dreams that exceed her time and ability. Last night, she invited her family over for a Bon Voyage Birthday dinner for her mother, who is leaving for Alaska this morning and celebrates her actual birthday on Thursday. Her father was invited, too, and he’s going on the trip, but it wasn’t his birthday, so he was just a guest. Ten people - all family, she reasoned, how hard can it be? Well, it isn’t hard at all if you know where to shop.

The Shop Tart had lunch at DiPrato’s yesterday - yes, she was busy, but a lady has to eat, yo - and knew the deli was the perfect dinner solution. She planned to make a dinner of appetizers like their fried cauliflower, deviled crab, pimento cheese, roasted asparagus and broccolini, but she spotted something new - tomato pies. Do tomato pies exist out of the south? If so, do they go by names like “quiche” or “frittata”? Around these parts, the tomato pie is an iconic dish, filled with loads of cheese and tomatoes, usually topped with a combination of mayonnaise and more cheese, often accented with fresh basil. She bought one and resolved to make a few other dishes to go with it. She also bought roasted asparagus and pimento cheese. She decided she didn’t need the delicious pita chips. Silly girl.

At home, she chose a salad to go with the pie and asparagus. She realized two things:

1. Pimento cheese is a lame appetizer for tomato pie, which is topped with pimento cheese.

2. She had no intention of making anything more than a salad and needed to reserve another tomato pie. And maybe some more roasted vegetables.

Problem solving ensued.

1. She made a phone call to her sister and begged her to bring baba ganouj from the newly-opened Al Amir on South Main.

2. She called DiPrato’s and asked them to reserve another tomato pie and a pound of roasted broccolini.

She knew the pimento cheese would go to good use, even if she didn’t serve it that evening.

The countdown was on and the Shop Tart started verifying details. Mr. Shop Tart was assigned to pick up a case of wine at Cloud Nine. No, they weren’t planning to drink the whole thing, but a case discount is always nice, n’est-ce pas? The Barefoot Bubbly is only $10 a bottle there, $9 with a case discount. Mr. Shop Tart wanted nine bottles of the bubbly and three of something else. He wasn’t sure what else and asked Russell (the new creator of brilliant lunch specials at Cloud Nine who also happens to work at Baan Sawan),

“If Sam* isn’t drinking beer or bubbly, what would he drink?”

Does anyone sense a bracelet here? WWSD? Russell recommended three wines and the Shop Tart can’t wait to try them. She stuck to bubbly last night, because it seemed more bon voyage-y. Mr. Shop Tart was also assigned to pick up a dozen cupcakes from Cupcake. His wife fielded an illegal cell phone call at the pediatrician’s office during her child’s check-up to find out what flavors were available for the day. She didn’t trust her husband to choose on his own. She is a control freak. Surprised?

After the pediatrician, she made a quick trip to Rosewood Market for salad ingredients - greens, corn, quinoa and pine nuts. Recipe to come. She went by DiPrato’s to pick up the second pie and broccolini. As she turned into the parking lot, she realized no meal from DiPrato’s would be complete without the house-made pita chips. Also, her son was begging for them from the back seat and he is such a good boy, she hates to say no. She called from the parking lot to add the chips to her order. Enfin, the shopping was done.

At home, she plopped the toddler in front of a movie, shooed the oldest child out the door to soccer practice and hoped the middle child would entertain the toddler. She made a salad. She made a vinaigrette. Ha, ha. you know she didn’t make no vinaigrette; she used oil, vinegar, water and a seasoning packet from Rosewood Market. She loves salad at parties because it gives her a chance to use her cool salad server from Portfolio. These make wonderful hostess gifts; they work like chopsticks for kids. You know, the ones attached at the top with a rubber band? They fold flat for storage. Très chic!

Salad.

The baba ganouj arrived and was served in a favorite dish - also from Portfolio - with the famous pita chips. The pita bread that came with the baba was reserved for DiPrato’s pimento cheese sandwiches for the children’s lunches the next day. the little bowl behind the dish is filled with hummus from Trader Joe’s. Shop Tart Tip: Add olive oil to packaged hummus to make it seem fresh.

Al Amir, Portfolio and DiPrato's.

Corks were popped, a table was set and a toddler was put in front of another movie. When the soccer player arrived from practice, dinner was served. The cool salad was a lovely complement to the hot roasted vegetables and tomato pie. Before dinner, the Shop Tart and her mother enjoyed an appetizer of the little bits of pie crust and cheese that fell out of the pie as it was baking. They tasted like really delicious cheese biscuits. The tomato pie, dear reader, is not a pretty dish, but the taste is divine!

DiPrato's Tomato Pie.

And it was huge. She almost didn’t need the second one. At $9.95, this pie is a great deal. Need to take a meal to a friend who had a new baby? Too busy or lazy to cook? Be a first responder with this pie, a salad and some muffins for breakfast. After dinner, the toddler went nuts when it was time for “PUPCAKE! PUPCAKE! PUPCAKE!” No, they were not eating treats from Pupcakes**. Toddlers get confused. They enjoyed an assortment from Cupcake - mandarin orange chocolate, mocha chip, white chocolate raspberry, red velvet, chocolate, vanilla, watermelon - pretty much everything they had that day.

Cupcake.

Mr. Shop Tart wore a Southern Tide polo from Britton’s and narrowly avoided stepping on the over-enthusiastic toddler underneath the cupcakes.

Bon Voyage, Mimi and Top! Hope your actual birthday is super-special, Mimi!

Happy Shopping and don’t forget to tell them you read it on the Shop Tart!

The day started with lunch. Actually it started with work in pajamas. Ahhhh…the life of a freelance writer. The Shop Tart had lunch at Miyo’s on Forest Drive with two of the chicest women she knows. She invited them, hoping to convince them to spearhead something that all you fab ladies would love, simply love. It may have worked and she’ll share details as soon as she knows. Keep your fingers crossed!

Miyo’s is one of her favorite places in town for lunch. She started with her favorite dish, the avocado salad, an avocado shell filled with a mixture of crab, avocado and other delicious things. This salad is only $3.95. The Shop Tart has no idea why such a delectable treat is only $3.95, but there you have it.

Miyo's.

The mystery lady to her right also had an avocado salad on the Shop Tart’s recommendation. She was thrilled to discover it and shocked and saddened to realize she had been missing out. That salad is so good, the Shop Tart could eat it again right this very second. What time is lunch? The other mystery lady enjoyed a build-your-own dish with curry sauce and fried tofu. Yum!

Miyo's.

For her second course, the first mystery lunch companion had a cold noodle and sesame salad. This dish was new to the Shop Tart and she looks forward to ordering it next time. Lunch? Is it almost lunchtime? You can’t see them, but the perfectly seasoned noodles are under the greens. The salad is tossed in Miyo’s house dressing, which is indescribably delicious.

Miyo's.

The Shop Tart followed her crab and avocado delicacy with curry vegetables. The dish comes with a choice of rice: white, brown or vegetable fried. The Shop Tart is lazy; she took the rice home, added more vegetables, fried egg and hoisin sauce from a jar and called it dinner for the kids. They loved it.

Miyo's.

After Miyo’s, she went to Cloud Nine Market for a lovely cup of peach and ginger tea. Cloud Nine is the best, because they have wi-fi. The Shop Tart had her laptop and some very good intentions. Alas, she ran into some Baan Sawan all-stars and couldn’t resist a chat. She also couldn’t resist taking a picture of their sandwiches. Cloud Nine has a new guy in the kitchen - a transplant from Baan Sawan, incidentally - and he’s coming up with some fab lunch specials. Yesterday’s special was this chicken barbecue sandwich with coleslaw. The slaw was made with barbecue sauce and it tasted like bacon…but it didn’t have bacon in it. Delicious miracle!

Cloud Nine Market.

The Shop Tart’s cup of tea was lovely, too. But it didn’t taste like bacon.

Cloud Nine Market

The folks at Cloud Nine were getting ready for a party to kick off their support of the Palmetto Health Foundation. Until December, a portion of all proceeds from private label products will go to the foundation. They also have a special selection of pink items; a portion of sales of those items will support the Palmetto Health Health Foundations Walk for Life. Their private label products are varied and excellent. Love the bread dips…

Cloud Nine Market

Jellies and jams…

Cloud Nine Market.

There are loads of other delicious food products, from mixed nuts to pasta sauces, perfect to keep in the pantry for an impromptu party or hostess gift. Did you know Cloud Nine also has a full line of bath products? Love the chic, simple packaging.

Cloud Nine Market.

They also have a table full of ready-made gift baskets (priced $10 to $150) created to benefit the foundation. Need baskets for clients? This is a wonderful way to show someone your appreciation and support a good cause at the same time. The baskets can be ordered in any quantity you need and a portion of all proceeds supports the foundation.

Cloud Nine Market.

This product is not a private label product, but it is delicious. The Shop Tart discovered this carrot jam when Cloud Nine was offering samples one day. Pour it over a block of cream cheese and serve with those thin ginger cookies they sell…heaven!

Cloud Nine Market.

The Gift of the Week Award* goes to the lady in front of the Shop Tart in line. She was getting this gorgeous mother-of-pearl caviar server and spoon as a thirtieth anniversary gift. Pearls are traditional for the thirtieth. Love the idea, love the dish, can’t wait until someone has a thirtieth anniversary! Or maybe the Shop Tart should get it for herself, just in case someone gives her some caviar. Ahem.

Cloud Nine Market.

When she left Cloud Nine, the Baan Sawan crowd was cracking open a bottle of Barefoot Bubbly. Oh, the joys of not having children who get home from school at three pm… Speaking of Barefoot Bubbly, Mr. Shop Tart needs to pick up a case, because la famille is all out of it and they are having a little family dinner tonight, a bon voyage/birthday party for the Shop Tart’s mother, who is celebrating a birthday on Thursday. She won’t be in town then, because she and the Shop Tart’s father will be on a cruise in Alaska. Oh, the joys of not having children who get home from school at three pm…wait. Did she already say that?

Children are great. If she didn’t have them, the Shop Tart wouldn’t have found herself at Simply Savory yesterday afternoon eating ice cream before dinner. Yum! She also picked up a loaf of their home-made sourdough bread on the recommendation of Ashley, a fabulously stylish mother who works at VanJean and Pout when her busy schedule allows. Ashley’s toddler and the Shop Tart’s toddler, both known for their wild ways, forged an instant bond. The Shop Tart is afraid of what they might accomplish together, very afraid.

Children are also great because they offer an obvious excuse for being somewhat slack. That dinner party tonight? The Shop Tart is planning on picking up an assortment of her favorite ready-made treats from DiPrato’s and Rosewood Market. She’ll add a cheese plate and whip up some deviled eggs if there’s time. Dessert? Mmmm…cupcakes from Cupcake, of course! She is hoping the house will clean itself.

Happy Shopping and don’t forget to tell them you read it on the Shop Tart!

* OK, there is no such award, but there should be.

Thursday night, VanJean had a little cocktail party to show some fab dresses. The champagne and St. Germain cocktails were flowing and the food was delish. Don’t blame the Shop Tart if you missed it - it was on the calendar, which you should be checking every single day for sales, events, new shipments at your favorite shops, restaurant happenings and more*. Ahem. The honorees - three little black dresses by Phillip Lim - are only available in five boutiques across the country. They are stunning, even more stunning on you than on the rack. Owner Melissa Blanchard belted one of them. Gorgeous! She’s pictured below with local fashion and image guru Lisa Arnold, who is wearing vintage Phillip Lim.

Here are the three dresses, which are still in the shop. You must see to believe, so go take a look when you get a chance; they’re going fast.

Mary Covington, one of the lovely ladies of VanJean, was there with her super-chic mother-in-law, Nora Covington**.

These ladies from the museum - Ali Borchardt and Caroline Quillen - were there to represent, chatting with the lovely Jenny Thompson of Theodosia Jewelry.

Susan and Ashley were enjoying the bacon-wrapped water chestnuts. So was the Shop Tart, who took a short break to snap this photo.

Susan and Ashley at VanJean.

Speaking of food, the event was catered by Gourmet Rose, one of the Shop Tart’s favorites for simple, sophisticated party food. She went to a party catered by them a few years go where all the food was local and in season. She was wowed and has been a fan ever since.

Gourmet Rose Catering at VanJean.

Speaking of places you need to know about for entertaining, this lovely Blossom Shop bouquet was sent to VanJean by a friend. So pretty, it makes the Shop Tart want to have a party and an excuse to buy flowers. The Loefflar Randall pumps and Tory Burch bag aren’t bad either, n’est-ce pas?

One more people picture before we move on to more shallow things. This is Susan, holding Pout makeup artist Elizabeth’s cute little baby while Christina and Ashley look on. Love Christina’s little black dress.

VanJean

So, there were loads of other new things in VanJean and the Shop Tart snapped a few photos.

The Tracy Reese jacket in the first photo deserves its own mention. The sparkly shawl collar can be removed and you are left with a chic, camel-colored boyfriend jacket for day. The Shop Tart loves to get more for her money, don’t you?

After the party, she went to a friend’s house. They had big plans to cook an elaborate dinner involving seafood sausage made with this garage sale find.

Garage sale find.

In fact, they got lazy, decided simple is always better and sipped wine while snacking on various little dishes, like pan-fried local okra with home-made gomasio (available at Rosewood Market if you are not as industrious as the Shop Tart’s friend).

Okra with gomasio.

They also enjoyed local shrimp from the Old Timey Meat Market and caramelized bell peppers from the Five Leaves Farm. The peppers, pre-caramelization, are pictured below with a fab glass (another garage sale find) and a napkin from Fishy Fishy Quilts, scored at Crafty Feast back in May.

Fishy Fishy Quilt linens.

That evening felt like the last, lazy summer meal. Fall gets busy, n’est-ce pas? The Shop Tart was thrilled to find her favorite busy-day dinner shortcut at Rosewood Market recently - frozen, pre-cooked rice. Sauté it with veggies, pine nuts, italian seasoning, olive oil and white wine vinegar and call it pilaf. Splash in some store-bought vegetable stock for extra flavor; the Shop Tart keeps an open box in the fridge. In the mood for Asian? Use grapeseed oil, rice wine vinegar and a splash of your favorite curry or hoisin sauce. Add fried egg instead of pine nuts. Voilà! By the way, the package says to microwave, but the Shop Tart puts the frozen rice in the pan after the veggies and it heats up just fine. She only microwaves it if she’s serving it plain as a side dish.

Excellent shortcut at Rosewood Market.

Although this post is getting a bit long, she hopes you are still reading, because she has cupcake pictures. Enfin, the shop is open and the Shop Tart and her husband took their children on Saturday. She had the praline cupcake - heaven! The toddler pointed to every single cupcake before settling on the black bottom.

Cupcake!

The X-Man, who had checked the daily menu online before leaving the house, was ready to order the mint chocolate cupcake. Yum!

Cupcake!

The family favorite was Mr. Shop Tart’s key lime cake, also chosen before he arrived.

Cupcake!

The oldest child was at the beach with friends. In the interest of fairness, the Shop Tart will have to take him to Cupcake as soon as possible. Poor her. She wonders if she should start jogging from her house to Cupcake. Join her?

Happy Shopping and don’t forget to tell them you read it on the Shop Tart!

* “More” includes events like Maya’s Wonderland, listed on the calendar on Thursday. Maya’s Wonderland is more than an event, it’s an…extravaganza! The Shop Tart has a big dinner planned that night, but will probably be at the party after. See you there?

** When the Shop Tart is Mrs. Covington’s age - or sooner - she hopes to be even one-tenth this stylish. Everything about that outfit rocks. Just perfect!
