Ticket giveaway. MAJOR.
Filed Under breakfast, contest, eat and drink, go, good cause!, ladies, lunch, shop, sip and shop
The Shop Tart has had a long day. Not a bad day — She managed to fit in a trip to Coplon’s and a quick lunch with her sister. Oh. And a pedicure. For research purposes only, of course. But she worked, too, okay? Okay. Anyhow, it was the sort of day where you make work phone calls in the car, because that’s the only time you have and you have to pull over and hiss at the children to be quiet so you don’t look like a complete flake. And the Shop Tart had every intention of going to exercise tonight, but she had this instead.
She had breakfast for dinner. Sort of in honor of breakfast week on The Kitchn, where she is now a regular contributor. (Want to see what she’s writing there? Here you go. To be fair, the Shop Tart isn’t really doing the writing. Anne Postic is. But we’ll leave that one to the therapist, k?)
Anyhow…we all have an absolute blast at EdVenture’s Girls Night Out every year. This year, the event will be held at 701 Whaley Street, a week from today. (VIP tickets are still available and — trust — you want them.)
This year, we are even more excited. Coplon’s and EdVenture have invited Trina Turk to show her spring collection. Yeah, yeah, that’s cool. But she will actually be there.
And, for the first time, ladies will be able to shop the collection the night of the event! Have you seen the collection? Pretty great. Some of it is already at Coplon’s.
Trina *may* also be at Coplon’s the day after the big event (shhhhh...secret pop-up trunk show!) with the collection, so you can shop at your leisure. (But might the Shop Tart suggest that it is super fun to shop with your friends and a couple of glasses of wine at a big event? With music by DJ Chris Wenner? because it is really fun.)
If you’re anything like the Shop Tart, you’re all, “So, that sounds SUPER COOL. But will there be FOOD?” Yes! There will be. This year’s food sponsors include Tazikis, Blue Marlin, Saky Tumi, and Tombo Grille. Need a little sugah? Chocolate Nirvana, Rosso, and Cupcake are bringing the sweets. Little Black Dress Vodka is providing a fab signature drink and — for those of you who, like the Shop Tart, like to keep it clean — Salootay will be there with a few healthy and delicious treats.
Speaking of Salootay, for two weeks in a row, the Shop Tart has seen Salootay’s Chris Carrington at Panera (and she is sweet and fun and will be at Girls Night Out). And the Shop Tart has recently discovered their hidden breakfast and lunch menu — which is not hidden at all, because it’s on their website under “hidden menu.” Or “secret menu.” Whatevs. Same difference, and it is neither hidden nor secret, just bread-free. Anyhow, if you are the sort of person who likes to cut carbs before you have to wear certain items of clothing, you should check it out.
So! Who wants to win tickets? The Shop Tart has a pair to give away and she wants you to enjoy it with a friend. Also? Come hang out with her, because she is going on her own. (Not quite, because are you ever on your own in Columbia? Never.) How do you enter to win these tickets? Leave a comment below. Darn it, this has to require effort, because this is a big deal! Leave a comment about your favorite color for spring, because Trina Turk is all about color! The winner will be chosen the day before the event, around lunch time. That would be March 13th — Wednesday — let’s say, at 2 pm? Ready, set, go!
And…if you “share” the link on Facebook or tweet a link to this post AND tag the Shop Tart on Twitter, you get an extra entry! (Maximum one extra entry per person.) Hooray!
In today’s post…
- Coplon’s, 4825 Forest Drive, 803-790-0015
Happy Shopping and don’t forget to tell them you read it on the Shop Tart!

Brights are really NOW for spring and of course I love all of them – Kelly Green, Cobalt Blue, Neon Coral and BRIGHT Pink, etc. But my all time favorite color for spring would have to be navy – it is classic and can be mixed w/ any other color for a fresh look – especially after the head to toe black we all wear during winter.
