The contest is over. Long live the contest!
Filed Under contest, go, good cause!, listen
The Shop Tart loves a giveaway and this is the best time of year for that sort of thing, plenty of events and plenty of love. The Chocolatology tickets have been bestowed. (And if you didn’t win, you can still go!) And…we have another giveaway! Epworth Children’s Home is an incredible place for children. Want to tear up a little? Check out this interview on WACH Fox with someone who knows.
(And if you’d like to see the long version, here it is. And it’s totally worth watching.)
The Friends of Epworth are hosting their very first gala this year, and it’s going to be a blast.
The Picture Perfect Gala will be held on February 15th at Leaside and will feature delicious food by Southern Way Catering, plenty of open bar action, and music by party favorite Tokyo Joe! (They know their Elton John like nobody’s business.)
And guess what. You can enjoy the heck out of the music, food, and open bar, because there is no auction. (The Shop Tart knows at least a few of you are cheering over that one. There can be some great deals, but an auction can really take you off the dance floor.) But let’s say you would like to give a little more to this great cause. Well, here’s your chance. From the Friends of Epworth:
“There is no silent auction, or live auction for that matter. Instead, by making a minimum $25 donation or $40 donation as a couple, you will be given a wrist band that allows you unlimited access into our Dream Making Photo Stations and a chance to win one of three grand prizes drawn throughout the evening. All photos will be available for free online after the gala. Frames will also be available for an additional donation. Professional photographers and elaborate Photo Stations will promise to make dressing up fun and memorable, while providing the means necessary to provide exceptional care to the children who call Epworth home.”
How fun is that? So fun.
Tickets are $75 per person, or $125 for a couple. (This is where the Shop Tart should remind you that the other half of your couple doesn’t have to be the parent of your children, the love of your life, or your prom date. It could be your mom, a friend, or your favorite cousin. Or anyone else.) Or you could win a pair of tickets! How do you do it? Well, you know the drill by now. Leave a comment below — any comment will do. A lucky winner will get two tickets. The winner will be chosen on Valentine’s Day in the afternoon. Ready, set, go!
Good luck and don’t forget to tell them you read it on the Shop Tart!
