SHE

…where The Shop Tart will pretty much be spending her whole weekend!

Let’s be real. The Shop Tart can usually be found lazing about on the weekend. That is, when she isn’t shopping Soda City, enjoying one of Columbia’s fine restaurants, or watching one or more of her children play some sport. But this weekend will be all about her. And you! SHE is coming to town and everyone will be there. Let’s talk day by day…

The weekend kicks off at 4 pm on Friday, when SHE will be open for browsing, shopping, and plenty of hanging out with ladies. There will be wine, and chocolate, and cupcakes, and fashion! And a concert from American Idol’s Elise Testone! The opening night party will be a blast.

Elise Testone.

The Shop Tart is looking forward to meeting Lipsologist Ariana Lightningstorm, one of the only six Certified Lipsologists in the world, and the only one on the East Coast trained in the fun and entertaining practice of Lipsology. She will be performing the art and science of reading lip prints.

On Saturday, the fun begins at 9 am. All day long, you can enjoy a Crafty Feast Create Lounge. Are you totally incompetent at making things? Because the Shop Tart cannot make things, but there will be crafty pros in the Create Lounge to help guide you. Check the schedule here to see when your favorite artist will be there to share her creativity. Hooray!

There will be fashion happening all day, and the Shop Tart will be there at 3 for the “Shop Tart Loves” fashion show, featuring looks from VanJean, Pink Sorbet, Petal, and Bohemian. Elizabeth Rouprich, founder of Visually Appealing, put the show together and the Shop Tart had a blast helping her choose looks at Bohemian. A little preview…

Bohemian, SHE.

The Shop Tart Loves fashion show is happening Saturday at 3 and Sunday at 1 — the Shop Tart will stick around and hang in her personal lounge for a little meet and greet after the shows. The lounge will be decorated by Bones, Rugs & Harmony and she can’t wait to see what they have planned. Stop by for a visit; she’ll have Pout gift bags and Urban Nirvana mugs with discount cards to share!

The Shop Tart is also looking forward to cooking, tasting, and learning on Saturday and Sunday, with a little help from Let’s Cook, Motor Supply, Spotted Salamander, and Rosewood Market.

You know what else the Shop Tart loves? Entertaining! She can’t wait to pick up some tips from local ladies like Shani Gilchrist, Teowonna Clifton, Keely Saye, Catherine Doyle, Joyce Hansell, Amanda McNulty, and Sybil Davis. From event planning, home decor, and flower arranging, to Pinterest, couponing, and tea, you’ll learn it all. Shani Gilchrist (aka Camille Maurice) will teach you how to make your home an extension of your style…

Camille Maurice!

SHE wraps up at 6 on Saturday, but will be back on Sunday from noon to 5. And SHE isn’t just about you, SHE also helps others. Don’t miss Revente’s Last Call pop-up shop, where sales benefit the Women’s Shelter. And you can get $2 off the ticket price if you bring five canned goods for Harvest Hope. Hooray!

And…the Shop Tart has already given away one pair of tickets and she has four more pairs to share! Four of you will attend one day of your choice at SHE for free and you’ll get to bring a friend. How do you enter? Take a moment to check out the SHE website, then come back here and tell us in the comments section below what you would most like to see or do at the event. (Feeling too lazy to click? Just leave a comment saying you’ll come visit the Shop Tart in her lounge!)

See you this weekend and don’t forget to tell them you read it on the Shop Tart!
