Yesterday afternoon, the Shop Tart stopped by Belladea and M Boutique, because she had nothing to wear. (True story.) At Belladea she fell in love with a lot of jewelry, including pieces by s dot jewelry designs, Zola and Sylvia Benson.

Black and white is always a good look and this Trina Turk mini dress is no exception. Wear it out of the house in the morning with tights and slip the tights into your purse when the temps go up in the afternoon.

Belladea!

There were two dresses by Jade the Shop Tart loved. This one…

Belladea!

…and this perfect little black dress (both under $200).

Belladea!

Also adored this black top from Trina Turk, which happened to be on the sale rack, because who can’t use another black top? And the button on the shoulder was made of some cool mesh.

Belladea!

This cozy sweater made the Shop Tart crave cooler weather. (And it was pretty light weight, so it doesn’t have to get too cold!)

This brocade patterned top has the comfort of a t-shirt but could look as dressy as you wanted it to!

This tunic would be perfect with leggings…or actual pants.

Next door at M Boutique, the Shop Tart went gaga over new dresses from local designer Molly Stevens’ Ellen & Ollie line. Loving the lace detail!

The shoulder cut-outs on this are fab. This dress looks great belted.

Cute! The Shop Tart would pair this one with a jean jacket.

There were a lot of chic exposed zippers. The fabric insert on this dress gave the impression of a peplum without the added bulk. Love!

Also love the sparkle on this shoulders of this easy black dress, perfect for holiday parties or date night.

This dress reminded the Shop Tart of the grunge era and made her long to rock a pair of Doc Martens and tights. (But you could style it differently for church, too!)

The Shop Tart bought another Ellen & Ollie dress that is not pictured here. Want to see it? Come to the Columbia Museum of Art Ladies Night tonight. (Is she the only person in the world who must wear something new within 24 hours of scoring it?) She may have to go back for the one above with the lace insert at the top. Each of the dresses was $138.

M Boutique, of course, has more than just Ellen & Ollie. How much do we love this embellished shoulder cardigan? The one-shoulder thing makes it verrah chic. (And easier to wear, because you can carry your handbag on the other shoulder without risking damage to your sparkle!) The Shop Tart might need to go back for this one, too.

Looking for those skinny cargos you’ve seen in every single magazine and on every single celebrity out walking their dog? M Boutique has a great stretch pair by Joe’s Jeans.

Love the cable knit take on leggings!

M had a full rack of colorful coats, all priced in a reasonable range. This cheetah print jacket is fab, n’est-ce pas?

Last but not least, this long sweater from French Connection is the bomb!

The Shop Tart does hope you got a little fashion inspiration. She herself has been in a rut and her trip to M and Belladea was just what she needed to get out of it. She highly recommends browsing for ideas – and if you happen to buy a fab new piece to add to your wardrobe, so be it! She also gets inspired by looking at other well-dressed ladies and they will be out in droves tonight at the museum. So…who’s coming to Ladies Night Out? The Shop Tart will be there in her brand new dress from Ellen & Ollie. Can’t wait!

Happy Shopping and don’t forget to tell them you read it on the Shop Tart!

I can’t go to Ladies Night out, I have another engagement, but I want to guess that it is the CakeJacked Cake from TOS, specifically.

Also, where is TOS. I have never been and want to go!

I think it is the caramel cake in question from the other night. I want to remind you and others to stop by Blues, Brews and BBQ benefitting The Family Shelter before LNO…such an awesome cause!

Caramel Cake – but I haven’t seen one that looks this good outside of Memphis so I’m very curious to find out where to get this in Columbia!

A piece of the missing caramel cake? I know you won’t let me win.

How nice of the other Anne to share! :)
After seeing that cake, I can see why someone would cakejack it though…yum!

Tara, you win! Two tickets for you. My other spare goes to Paige – who guessed the exact provenance of the cake. Two for Tara, one for Paige (Nora – I know you got it first, but you can’t go, so Tara it is!)

The Other Store is on Atascadero off of Forest Drive – and they make great cake!
